San Diego Housing Market Update

With an extremely low supply of available homes to purchase, combined with high buyer demand due to record low interest rates, the real estate market in San Diego and across the country is hotter than it’s ever been at this time of year.

The market conditions in 2021 caused home prices to increase in San Diego, prices are expected to remain steady but with a slower appreciation in 2022.

Experts at the National Association of REALTORS® Real Estate Forecast Summit in December 2021 predict slower price appreciation, easing inflation, and rising interest rates will create a more normal housing market nationally bringing some much needed relief for home buyers.
